Consumer Finance Internship

Job Description:
To support the leadership of the Consumer Finance functions at Feldco. This role will combine a series of strategic weekly & monthly tasks, special projects, and project management activities. As such, your job responsibilities and hours may occasionally be altered to help others complete their duties. This position would report to the Consumer Finance Supervisor (Primarily) and Consumer Finance Manager (Secondarily)
Objectives of the Consumer Finance Department (not in any particular order):
Complete Financing procedures
Increase:
Customer Delight both internally and externally
On-time and complete fulfillment %
Look for and execute opportunities to improve the business.
Develop camaraderie, rapport, and relationships with the Feldco team and organization.
Key Responsibilities of the Part-Time Accounting Assistant:
Support leadership of the Consumer Financing functions at Feldco.
Assist in contacting customer to collect income documentation and any additional requirements needed by the lenders
Obtain credit decisions through our pool of lenders
Handle internal and external customer requests related to loans in progress
Submit daily funding and with accuracy reconcile reports next day
Strive for excellence in relation to Feldco’s Keys to Success: Customer Delight, Professionalism, Teamwork, Productivity and Accountability
Hours, Schedule & Other Information
Monday Through Friday from 10am to 5pm, hours may vary slightly based on manager’s preference
Approximately 35 to 40 hours per week.
Employment is intended to last from the start of June or first availability of candidate through the end of August, possibly longer depending on candidate availability
Position Requirements:
High school diploma required, some college-level coursework in Accounting.
Accounting majors preferred
Strong problem-solving abilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment
Understanding of Microsoft Office, Word & Excel
Highest standards of ethics & handling matters of a confidential nature
Excellent oral & written communication skills
Exceptional attention to detail
