Position Summary
The Finance Intern works in a variety of Finance functions to gain exposure to Xellia’s Finance programs and activities. This includes, but is not limited to; preparing financial reports. Work activities, assignments, and training may be in coordination with a Co-operative education program.
Key Responsibilities
Assists in the preparation of daily, weekly and monthly financial reporting.
Prepares management presentations.
Analyzes sales initiatives and provide recommendations based on findings.
Applies general finance and business theories, principles and knowledge to real life finance scenarios.
Successful in a team environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet department goals.
Assists in identifying and driving opportunities for improvement, making constructive suggestions to improve process effectiveness.
Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills in order to relay information and generate necessary documents for the job function aimed at the intended audience.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
Currently enrolled in an accredited Accounting, Finance or Business undergraduate or graduate degree program. Preference will be given to fourth year BA students or graduate students.
Must have a high passion and drive to learn about the pharmaceutical industry
Ability to work full time during the summer 2019
Legally authorized to work in the US
Able to support multiple leaders
Excellent oral and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
Preferred but not required; Familiarity with Tableau, Think Cell, Query Tools and/or JD Edwards
