Robertshaw has an opportunity for a Business Process Intern at its Itasca, Illinois headquarters. The program typically lasts 11 weeks between May/June and August/September. The requirement is that candidates be full-time college students in a bachelor’s degree program (master’s degree candidates may be considered), have completed at least their sophomore year and majoring in a discipline that is aligned with the role. Pay is $15 per hour.
Responsibilities
Chief Transformation Office Intern
This is a unique opportunity to gain broader understanding and hands on experience of applications in how value is created in a business as well as procedures and analytics. The intern will work on:
Identifying opportunities across the global P&L’s for better performance, and process across the organization.
Identifying opportunities in “lean” existing business process make the process to flow better and simpler; removing NVA from the process.
Developing better user-friendly, standard scorecards across the organization.
Creating metrics and definitions.
Creating standard templates for GDP, MDI, product profitability, etc.
Responsibilities:
Drive data analysis to discover value. Create / Protect or Recover.
Run multi-disciplinary sessions to improve critical exiting business process.
Document and get approval from key stakeholders of the new business process.
Use company software for database management, problem identification, solution proposals and decision recommendations.
Contribute to brainstorming sessions to develop out of the box ideas.
Develop “standard” scorecards that can be used across the business units.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Candidates should be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Industrial Engineering, or IT.
Strong spreadsheet analysis skills.
Experience with relational database management, statistical analytics, optimization models, and ERP software applications.
